Development and install of lamps for site specific Artwork

The Connaught Christmas Tree has become the anchor of Mount Street during the festive season, drawing admirers from near and far to marvel at the creative vision of some of the world's leading artists. For the tenth anniversary of this young tradition, The Connaught Hotel invited Urs Fischer to design The Connaught Christmas Tree, inspired by his video installation "People".

  • Fir, 150 spheres, LED modules, latex prints, cables, electronics

  • We jumped in to organize, develop and fabricate 150 spheres with glowing, printed faces. Every face had to be different, and none could appear distorted by the sphere's curved surface. Since the installation stood outdoors through winter, every component had to be fully weatherproof.
